MultiMFA SMS (Cell)

Coming soon: dedicated carrier-issued mobile numbers for MFA workflows where VoIP is unsupported or unreliable. Request to join the pilot from the MultiMFA SMS (Cell) product page or the dashboard.

Best for: Teams whose banks, financial services, or other providers reject VoIP SMS numbers.

Overview

MultiMFA SMS (Cell) will provide a dedicated carrier-issued mobile number for MFA texts that need a real cellular number. The product is not available for general purchase today and has no free trial.

Finding this in the dashboard

After you log in, click MultiMFA SMS (Cell) in the dashboard sidebar to request pilot information. You can also use the public MultiMFA SMS (Cell) product page. Cell numbers are not listed as a purchasable product yet.

Step-by-step setup

  1. Step 1

Open MultiMFA SMS (Cell) in the dashboard

Click MultiMFA SMS (Cell) in the sidebar. Overview also has an Open MultiMFA SMS (Cell) shortcut.

  2. Step 2

    Request to join the pilot

Request to be notified as availability opens. No launch date is promised, and the product is not available for purchase today.

  3. Step 3

Use MultiMFA SMS today if VoIP works

If your provider accepts VoIP numbers, open MultiMFA SMS instead and purchase a number there. Cell is only needed when VoIP is rejected or unreliable.

Best practices

  • •Confirm whether the target service accepts VoIP before waiting on Cell.
  • •Keep a MultiMFA SMS number for services that already work with VoIP.
  • •Request the pilot from your own dashboard or the MultiMFA SMS (Cell) page so we can match interest to your account.

Common troubleshooting

  • •If a service rejects your current MultiMFA SMS number, it may require a cellular number—request the Cell pilot.
  • •Cell is coming soon and cannot be purchased or claimed by general customers yet.
  • •If you already requested the pilot, you do not need to submit again unless your contact details changed.
